Four Official Photos from "Karate Kid" RemakeSubmit Comment
USA Today recently unveiled the first photo from the upcoming "Karate Kid" remake, and now, Sony Pictures has released three more photos from the new movie, showing some training atop the Great Wall of China. Check them out below.

Plot: Dre's Mom (Taraji P. Henson) moves to China for work and takes her your son with her. Not knowing the language, Dre immediately catches the attention of the local bullies, and before long, he is coming home with bruises. During regular service of the apartment, Dre meet the Mr. Han, the building maintenance man. Han spots the bruises and offers to teach the young boy martial-arts and the Chinese language.

"The Karate Kid" (or "The Kung Fu Kid") is directed by Harald Zwart (Agent Cody Banks, The Pink Panther 2) and has already wrapped principal photography. It is scheduled to hit theaters on June 11th, 2010.

Why the hell would a black woman move to China for work? sh*t, Im no genius, but this sounds like garbage. Will Smith's kid sucks at acting, and he looks all of six. Why the hell hasnt Dandy been contacted yet for the role of gay masseause yet?

These photos are a dirty joke galore, especially the second and the last one.

By the way: f*ck this movie, just to comment.

Like takai said before, is it going to be "The Karate Kid" or "The Kung Fu Kid"?
Because they are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS!!!!!

Im assuming since this crapfest is taking place in China, they had to scrap the Karate Kid name, and use the Kungfu wuss.

im starting a campaign for the slogan of this film to be "f*ck this movie"

I canīt even count how nay ways this is going to be a disaster: the constantly shifting title, the hack director, the X Box martial arts moves, the annoying Jaden Smith, the over-the-hill Jackie Chan... Man, is this going to be a crapfest!!! Another good childhood memory of mine is gonna get raped to death.

f*ck this

Jackie chan can have his dark meat, I am sure vin-dandy will love that

IMDB has it listed as 'The Karate Kid', but then has 'The Kung Fu Kid' listed as it's 'A.K.A'

They should decide on it soon, so that if they go with Karate, they give China time to throw a (well deserved) fit.

@Hobo Michael - I don't know man, Shaolin monks get started a lot earlier than 11 (Jaden's age).
Peter Parker writes:

It's easy, they'll call it "Karate Kid", using the old name to ensure box office success, and they'll subtitle it as being "Kung-Fu Kid", since that's what the movie is about.

Like some have said before, it's China, not Japan. The little twerp will be taught Nig-Fu (thanks, Lawman), not Karate.

What a f*cking disaster...

I have to say as much as I hate the idea of a remake, Jaden does looks like he took the "Karate/kung fu" thing seriously, that's a mean kick

I thought it was wangintheassfu oh wait that was dandy never mind
eddie499 writes:

Kung Fu Kid, Karate kid. Whatever they call it, it'll suck. Might as well call it "We decided to sh*t on the childhood memories of an entire generation for the purpose of making money and pleasing this kid's dad because if we do that we'll make even more money"

But that won't fit on a marquee and they'd confuse it with all of the other crappy remakes.
