Producers Joel Kasterlberg and Etchie Stroh are planning to reboot "The Howling" werewolf franchise. The new film is called "The Howling: Reborn" and has former studio marketing executive Joe Nimziki making his feature directorial debut.
The original "Howling," directed by Joe Dante (Piranha, Gremlins) from a script by John Sayles, was released in 1981 and spawned six sequels. Dee Wallace-Stone starred as a news anchor stalked by a serial killer who turns out to be a werewolf.
"The Howling: Reborn" is scheduled to begin filming in February of next year for Halloween release. Plot details are currently being kept a secret.
give it a month before Frankenstein is remade, and watch hollywood f*ck it up by calling the monster Frankenstein, instead of the doctor.

How can you keep plot details secret on a movie based on a book?
SACdaddywrites: on November 23rd, 2009 at 8:51:19 AM
The Howling might be some of the worst werewolf films ever made. There was a MIDGET WEREWOLF in one of these movies. Howling II was the only one that was halfway decent and that's just because it was basically softcore porn.
@Spooky: Looks like Hwood beat you to the punch again.

when the first one came out, it was very impressive to see the werewolf's, they looked bad ass because they didn't had that much technology but now is not going to be that awesome because of the cgi =/

And I'm sure all the werewolves are gonna be 20-somethings who hang out in the woods without shirts on.
Thanks a bunch, Twilight.
