While Pixar is already campaigning to win the Best Picture Oscar for "Up," the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has now announced that the studio has been nominated for the Best Animated Short award. Pixar's film is called "Partly Cloudy" and you can check it out below.
Thirty-seven pictures had originally qualified in the category, but only ten have advanced in the voting process. The next step is for the Short Films and Feature Animation Branch members to select the five nominees that will compete during the 82 Academy Awards.
The ten animated shorts in alphabetical order:
* The Cat Piano (The People's Republic of Animation) * French Roast (Pumpkin Factory/Bibo Films) * Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty (Brown Bag Films) * The Kinematograph (Platige Image) * The Lady and the Reaper (La Dama y la Muerte) (Kandor Graphics and Green Moon) * Logorama (Autour de Minuit) * A Matter of Loaf and Death (Aardman Animations Ltd.) * Partly Cloudy (Pixar Animation Studios) * Runaway (National Film Board of Canada) * Variete (il Luster Productions)
The 82nd Academy Awards nominations will be announced on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010, at 5:30 am PT. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be presented on Sunday, March 7th, 2010.

lil guy short... i dug it... hope to see it win... oh but make sure you just search for it on youtube and watch it in HD... 10x better

Partly Cloudy was their worst short
This is the only one that doesn't deserve to be nominated

matter of loaf and death was awesome. WALLACE AND GROMIT!!!!!..... but partly cloudy is aweosme... i hope it wins...
