Brad Pitt to Star in "Dark Void" Video Game Movie?Posted: November 19th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Indian company Reliance and Brad Pitt's development company Plan B are teaming up to make a big screen version of the upcoming Capcom "Dark Void" video game, with Pitt attached to star as the lead combatant.
"Void" centers on a a cargo pilot named Will (Pitt's presumed character) who, after crashing in the Bermuda Triangle, ends up in a parallel universe where a band of humans must fight an alien threat they had long been thought extinct. Will and the other humans are outmanned but have a number of weapons and powers to help them beat back the alien incursion.
The game will be released for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in January. Reliance and Plan B are currently searching for writers to adapt it.

I'll watch anything Pitt is in, he picks some cool roles.
I'll call it now, if Pitt plays the lead, this will be the first decent video game movie.

The only cool video game movie was Cloverfield.
Main storyline = Mario Bros
Subway scene = silent hill
Big Monster/mini monster aspect = Half Life 2
First Person Camera = reminiscent of Dead Rising.

Every Single piece of "news" on this damn site ends with a question mark! Its sad how many awful articles we have to claw through nowadays before we get to a semi-decent one. whatever, WP...

why dont they just make up their own damn story instead of ripping them off of random crap and making them even worse crap.. now theyre making crap of things that didnt even come out yet.

Because crap copying/ripping off crap is good business. Especially if said ripped-off crap yet to come out crap ends up being successful crap.

Metal Gear Solid, Assassin's Creed, or Uncharted. Make those video game movies and the genre will be revived after suck fests like Hitman, Max Payne, and Doom.

On the subject of video game movies. I must say prince of Persia looks pretty good. I never played the game too. Which is another example of not having to be a fan of a game to be intrigued by a film inspired by it. Still think they should have gone through with Halo with Neil bloncamp as director. I think that would have been amazing
