|
As promised, we now have the trailer for the upcoming Jeff Bridges drama "Crazy Heart," the film that could win the four-time Academy Award nominated actor an Oscar. Check it out below.
Plot: Bad Blake (Bridges) is a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who's had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road and one too many drinks way too many times. And yet, Bad can't help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician. As he struggles down the road of redemption, Bad learns the hard way just how tough life can be on one man's crazy heart.
The film is directed Scott Cooper, who is making his helming debut, and will get a trailer on Monday (November 16th). It is scheduled to hit theaters on December 16th, in limited release.

Why is Maggie Gyllenhaal so good in independent films and AWFUL in big budget movies?

big budget usually means thier willing to sacrifice artistic merit for a big payday.. so probably tell her to act down a bit.
looks great. very Peter Bogdanovich
They better have written some killer songs for bridges to sing

Gyllenhaal is a cunt, let her fade into obscurity so she can reside in a studio apartment reciting lost Shakesperian prose. Cant stand her, theres something about that face that irks me more than her holier than though self proclaimed existence. To put it shortly, she's a cunt.

@VDODSON: "Self proclaimed existence"? Are you telling us she doesn't really exist, she's just fooled us into thinking she does? Bad enough she's found lost Shakespearean prose without letting the rest of us in on it. To put it "shortly" (?), you're an angry little douche.

I agree with the person saying it's the Wrestler with a musician! This should not win awards simply for similar concept the following year?!
