JJ Abrams and Paramount decided to to hide the robot R2-D2 from "Star Wars" somewhere in the new "Star Trek" film. And back in May, the studio challenged moviegoers to find the character in order to have a chance to win an official prop from "Trek."

Now, Gizmodo has not only found R2-D2 in the movie, but also got a confirmation from Industrial Light & Magic. Click on the image below to see a hi-res look at the robot floating around.

You can see the sequence in the movie for yourself, since "Star Trek" is set to appear in stores on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow (November 17th).

Too bad there wasn't an incest scene in there as well, with Luke hitting Leia...

That main shot of R2 above is when he got caught with those two prostitute toasters recommended by Hugh Grant.

He has fell along way since the StarWars movies and is usually seen with Corey Feldman in strip joints.

Free pulicty for George Lucus though. And in a rival film. I'm sure he can find a way to squeeze a mini-series and another 100 million dollers from this alone.

I bet Lucas is gonna make an exclusive "R2-D2 Floating in Space from Star Trek" action figure now! (Hint for collectors- same toy, different packaging!)
