Paul WS Anderson to Return for "Castlevania"?

Paul WS Anderson to Return for "Castlevania"?Submit Comment
Not too long ago, the big screen adaptation of the "Castlevania" video game was considered dead, since the announced start date was missed and director Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard) had moved on.

Then came news that James Wan (Saw, Death Sentence, Dead Silence) signed on to co-write and direct "Castlevania" with Paul WS Anderson producing. "I'm very fresh on this project, so its early stages and I'm still trying to work things out, but the producers love my vision for it," said Wan.

That was the last time we heard anything about the project, but now comes word from producer Jeremy Bolt (Resident Evil: Afterlife) that Anderson is once again circling "Castlevania" and is currently waiting for the script.

I'm not sure what this means, but it might end up that Wan would only provide the script and Anderson would direct. Bolt added that Anderson is also looking to adapt Konami's "Metal Gear Solid" for the big screen.

Just one more to throw on the "sh*tty Video Game Movie" pile! When will they learn?

Paul WS Anderson?!
For the love of Satan...
Well, we can assure at least one thing:
"Castlevania" will become a kiddie movie...

I like Castlevania. The hunter whoop Dracula's ass... literally!

Here's an idea: Join Castlevania and Twilight together and have a movie in which Robbert Pattinson's faggy vampire ass gets whipped to death for 90 minutes.

Hideo Kojima will never let Paul W.S. Anderson direct "Metal Gear Solid".

Hugo Weaving as Revolver Ocelot now that would be bad ass

loved the first saw, in fact thats the only one i liked, i guess number 2 was alright with donnie mahlberg lol and i also think Death Sentence was a highly under-rated movie, anyone whose a Kevin Bacon fan needs to watch that movie beuase he did a outstanding job.. but as for Dead Silence... ehhh kinda weak. castlevania could be interesting

What a coincidence, Anderson's protegee Jason Isaacs voices one of the characters in the game

I like peter's idead, but you need to add in something hmm..........

How about straping steaks laced with anti-freeze to the vampire chicks naked of course and let the werewolves chase them.
Peter Parker writes:

Those werewolves sure need some feeding!

Naked vampire chicks are always a good addition, every single movie should have at least one.

And Benicio Del Toro would certainly appreciate the steaks!

I hope WS Anderson ends up reading this, somehow...

Castlevania had a pretty good story for an NES game, but it might feel a little too much a like Van Helsing remake in the movies.

I think Anderson can bring something to this, but I think the success on the movie is going to come from the actor they choose for Dracula.
