Ryan Reynolds is snatching up pretty much every comic book role out there. He already played Deadpool in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and is now set to make a "Deadpool" spin-off and a "Green Lantern" film.
At one point, he was considered to play The Flash and writer Bill Birch has now revealed to CineFools that he wanted Reynolds to star in his "Shazam" movie. "I always thought Ryan Reynolds would have been interesting but now that he's Green Lantern that's not an option," he said.
According to Birch, he is starting "Shazam" from scratch and is not sure if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will end up playing Captain Marvel or Black Adam, as previously revealed by Johnson.

There are literally thousands and thousands of comic book characters out there. This guy will have played three of them. Besides the fact that nobody knew who Hannibal King was til "Blade Trinity" came out, the majority of the general public has no idea who Deadpool is, especially after watching "Wolverine 4". I say, let him play every fucking superhero he wants. There don't seem to be many other candidates out there. One thing I would like to see is Zachary Levi ("Chuck") get a shot at Superman. In fact, the whole cast of that show should be in superhero movies. Yvonne Strahovsky would be great as any female superhero, Matthew Bomer would make a better Batman than "Raspy" Bale, and Sarah Lancaster is probably the best choice around for Wonder Woman.

(and yes, CM is the gay version of Superman and I hate how every time they fight, CM gets the upper hand)

@Stunt- pretty much all you need to know about Black Adam is that he looks like The Rock, he's as powerful as Captain Marvel, he's evil and he always hovers a few feet off the ground. I remember hearing that it was because he thought of himself as being better than low life mortals, but I think the real reason is that he constantly has evil semen leaking from his magic ass and he doesn't want to step in the puddles that pool up.
