New "Avatar" TV Spot is for Kids Posted: November 9th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
20th Century Fox will do anything to make back the $500 million budget used for "Avatar," including make TV spots that misrepresent the movie. Today, we have one of the spots that makes "Avatar" seem like a movie for little kids. Check it out below. Plot: An ex-Marine finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people. "Avatar" is directed by James Cameron (Terminator, Titanic) and is scheduled to hit conventional and IMAX theaters on December 18th.

I didnt realize this was a trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Still looks pretty dope, but this TV spot is worse than the teaser trailer.

Eco green messages and bloody intergalactic ultra violent conflicts that results in hundreds of lives being lost
y'know, for kids!
Peter Parker writes: on November 9th, 2009 at 10:05:59 PM
I wonder if they'll come out with a spot for adults as well, featuring those smurfs engaging in some avatarian butt-f*cking and golden showers...
... although, in this case, it may turn out to be blue showers...
Peter Parker writes: on November 9th, 2009 at 10:41:26 PM
Blue tits... hum...
The more I think about it, the more I like it!

"including make TV spots that misrepresent the movie." Are you sure this misrepresents the movie? Maybe the other 2 trailers misrepresented the movie. Maybe Avatar really is a children's film.

LOL wow. That was like watching a trailer for Treasure Planet.
Tavobore writes: on November 10th, 2009 at 8:54:42 AM
It's just marketing. I still think this movie is going to be awesome.
jeffw1978 writes: on November 10th, 2009 at 12:02:23 PM
There is nothing wrong with blue tits, or green tits, red tits, purple tits, hell tits are great no matter the color.
MoneyHayabusa writes: on November 10th, 2009 at 12:15:46 PM
Well hell that was appealing to someone, which is expected when youre trying to make a really expensive movie appeal to everyone. I did like how it focused a bit on the more fantastical elements than the battles in this one...
MoneyHayabusa writes: on November 10th, 2009 at 12:16:39 PM
Oh and I think all the trailers so far have probably misrepresented the movie.
dhkenobi writes: on November 10th, 2009 at 12:34:31 PM
"Experience the greatest adventure of all time" ... a little ego there, I think.
Peter Parker writes: on November 10th, 2009 at 12:37:39 PM
@ dhkenobi: Kanye West wrote that. This is what he said:
"Experience the greatest adventure of all times... OF ALL TIMES!!!"

What's next, Wall-E meets Terminator?

The greatest adventure in 3D? That sounds like a ploy my mom used to get me to take out the trash way back when.
PrevalentMind writes: on November 11th, 2009 at 1:11:39 PM
I wouldnt say it's 'FOR KIDS"...
...but holy sh*t this spot belongs back in the mid 90's. haha I felt like I was watching a VHS.
