"Hatchet 2" Teaser Art RevealedPosted: November 9th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Ever since the first "Hatchet" slasher film appeared in theaters, director Adam Green has been planning a sequel. Now, the official MySpace page for the main character has been updated with teaser art that says: "Hatchet 2, coming back to get you 2010." Check out the art below.
The original film revolves around a group of tourists on a New Orleans haunted swamp tour, who find themselves stranded in the wilderness. Their innocent evening of fun and spooks, eventually turns into a horrific nightmare.
Speaking to STYD two weeks ago, Green said: "Hatchet 2 will happen next year for sure. It's greenlit. It's been greenlit since the opening weekend of the first one. There's just other stuff we had to do. It's been about waiting for the right time to do it right."

Terrible movie the first one was. I would rather watch Lake Placid 3.

The first one was pretty bad. I only watched it because it was a freebie on Netflix instant viewing.

The first movie is a classic in my book. I laughed my ass off! Saw it on TV but will definitely pay money to see the sequel.

^Agreed- the first knew exactly what it was. It never took itself too seriously and never went for straight out cheese. The acting is what it is, but the setups made it...
...so many other films would have had that long drawn out beginning where they walk through Crowley's house, hear a bump, hide, get found, etc. In this they dont even make it to the front door- lol He just springs out of the tool shed and starts hacking.
Best "Here we go" moment of horror 2006-07

yeah Hatchet was just over the top on purpose and wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. Every kill as cheesy and thats what i loved about it. I personally think it was 10x better then the new Friday the 13th but thats thats just me.I'm definitely pumped to see this sequel.

I didn't even know there was a hatchet 1....which, in my opinion, says tons for the sequel.

Also, that teaser art is horrible. Didn't Victor Crowley get all his hair burned off in the last one?
