First Look: Jessica Alba's "Machete" PosterPosted: November 4th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Sitting at the American Film Market is a poster for the upcoming Robert Rodriguez-directed "Machete," featuring a look at Jessica Alba as Sartana. Check it out below.
Plot: The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Danny Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal).
Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Jeff Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Cheech Marin) his "holy" brother, and April (Lindsay Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.

@tcu21-hes nothing like Tarantino, Tarantino is all Dialogue and RR is about action he wants to be loves John Woo films, plus Tarantino wanted to be like RR because he does the cinematography, music, directing, writing and editing, all his movies may not be great but shit is entertaining

Come on, he tries to make these odd violent movies that he hopes will develop a cult following and good box office returns.
Tell me that poster doesn't resemble Inglourious Basterds posters.
Jessica Alba as Sartana
Brad Pitt is a Basterd

why are people bashing Rodriguez and calling him a wannabe Tarantino? Are you kidding me? The guy has enough of his own work under his belt. Sin City (yea im giving RR credit for that one. Frank Miller proved to us all with The Spirit that he shouldn't peruse a career behind the camera), El Mariachi trilogy, Dusk till Dawn, hell I even loved the Faculty....
Grant it he also directed Spy Kids and that pathetic looking Shorts (I havent seen it)
I'm a big fan of Robert Rodriguez and have faith in this movie, ya just cant take shit too seriously. Be expecting something crazy like a chick with a gun for a leg or a blind man who can still shoot everybody who is around him.

"Tell me that poster doesn't resemble Inglourious Basterds posters.
Jessica Alba as Sartana
Brad Pitt is a Basterd"
-If your gonna go down that route then their both copying old "Grindhouse" movies. And Tarantino just ripped off Kill Bill from all the old samurai movies like Shogun Assassin (Which he rightfully gives credit to at the end of the movies)
