Wes Anderson Wants to Make a Movie in Space

Posted: November 2nd, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Wes Anderson Wants to Make a Movie in SpaceSubmit Comment
Now that director Wes Anderson has explored the oceans in "The Life Aquatic" and the lands in "The Darjeeling Limited," there is only one place left for him to go. Space.

"I'd like to do a movie in space," Anderson told Access Hollywood. "If possible I would like to try to actually shoot some of it on location in space. That's my preference."

It's difficult to tell whether he is joking, but it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't. Anderson might be looking to make something original, but is once again clueless about the logistics. He was accused of this exact same thing during the making of "Fantastic Mr. Fox," which he apparently directed by email.

I want to film a movie about an alternate world. I would love to go through a real portal to film it, but i don't know if that's possible.

You know how much hype that would generate? "THE FIRST FILM TO BE FILMED IN SPACE!" I mean, jesus, that shit would make 1400 million on opening day.

@Spooky, what is he going to do that discovery channel or bbc hasn't done already?
Ranger writes:

@PP - that's Tilda Swinton.

And apparently this Anderson (that this article is about) isn't that clueless... if he WAS actually able to direct a movie via email whereas others thought that impossible.

Not with actors, with scripts and lines.

How is he clueless about the logistics? Can you not take a camera and crew up into space?

But what an idea, THAT would be interesting to see.

@dandy... as this is a FREE site (so I think you're getting your $'s worth here), I don't think you have much say as to it's content (unless you're a Moderator). Besides this article was sourced from Access Hollywood.

If there are some things (on here and in life) you could do the Biblical recommendation of just turning a cheek.

Who put a burr under your saddle today Buddy?

Chin up Buckaroo. Don't go. I'll miss your negative comments (sincerely)!

XO!
