"Sherlock Holmes" Not Afraid of "Family Guy" SpecialPosted: November 1st, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Two weeks ago, we reported that 20th Century Fox Television will air a "Family Guy" special, called "Family Guy Presents: Seth and Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show," on November 8th at 8:30pm. The special was to be commercial-free and instead blend promotion of Microsoft's Windows 7 into the show's content.
Then about a week ago, Microsoft bailed on the special after the software company's executives watched the taping of the variety show and witnessed jokes about deaf people, the Holocaust, feminine hygiene and incest.
The animated portions of "Almost Live Comedy Show" were the tamest parts of the show -- it was the live-action segments (such as one in which MacFarlane and Borstein play Latino housekeepers) that probably raised the most eyebrows.
"We initially chose to participate in the Seth and Alex variety show based on the audience composition and creative humor of 'Family Guy,' but after reviewing an early version of the variety show, it became clear that the content was not a fit with the Windows brand," said a Microsoft spokeswoman.
Now comes word that Warner Bros has stepped in with its upcoming "Sherlock Holmes" film to sponsor the special.
The "Almost Live Comedy Show" will include original animation, live-action performances of "Family Guy" musical numbers, comedy sketches and celebrity guests. The evening also will feature an all-Seth MacFarlane lineup with new episodes of "American Dad," "The Cleveland Show" and "Family Guy."

Priceless!!!
"... jokes about deaf people, the Holocaust, feminine hygiene and incest..." ahahaha
I wonder why Microsoft doesn't want to be associated with this...
Anyway, just because of that, "Family Guy" just went up a few more points in my book.

Can't tell the difference between this and animation domination.

Do you know what kinds of filthy, perverted, debaucherous shit Windows gives us the ability allowed to access AND organize? lol
...and they're NOT the right fit? Someone needs to remind them about their involvement in all that offensive stuff on that little known thing called the internet. Wait until the PC guy gets nabbed with kiddie porn.
