John Rhys-Davies Not Interested in Playing a Dwarf in "The Hobbit"

John Rhys-Davies Not Interested in Playing a Dwarf in The HobbitSubmit Comment
John Rhys-Davies played Gimli the dwarf in "Lord of the Rings," and while his character doesn't appear in "The Hobbit" prequels, his father Gloin does.

Empire magazine caught up with the actor to find out if he would return to the franchise as the father. "I've already been asked and to be honest with you, I wouldn't. I have already completely ruled it out," he said. "When you've been 1 of 1, why would you want to be 1 of 13?"

But Rhys-Davies isn't completely ruling out a return to the world of Middle Earth. "I'd really prefer to play something quite different. Maybe an Elf," he said.

What about Gary Coleman?

All he's up to are failed suicide attempts and being a fucking mall cop (failing at that too I'll bet good money)!

The funniest thing I've read in a while! :)

Few actors boast good sense of humor.

JRD was also the voice of "Treebeard" in the second and third installments. The guy's a huge Tolkien fan and an amazing actor, I say, let him be whoever the fuck he wants. He could play Bard the Bowman for all I care

His stature will only allow him to play a dwarf, the bastard cant be picky. He should consider himself lucky that he has a career, short bastard.

VDODSON fails.

Davies is 6'2, one of the tallest actors in the movie. Camera tricks made him look about two feet shorter than he is.

How does it feel to suck?
