"Hellraiser" Remake to be in 3D

"Hellraiser" Remake to be in 3DSubmit Comment
Variety recently reported that "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" director Steve Carr will be remaking "Short Circuit" for Dimension Films. In the same article, the site listed some of the other franchises that the studio is continuing.

On that list are "Scanners," "An American Werewolf in London" and "Clive Barker's Hellraiser." Variety adds that "Hellraiser" will appear in theaters in 3D.

The film has had lots of directors attached, with the last being Pascal Laugier, whose horror film "Martyrs" shocked audiences for its unrelenting violent nature. But he has dropped out. At this point, the studio is still looking to replace Laugier.

The original 1987 "Hellraiser" told the story of an unfaithful wife who attempts to assist her dead lover in his escape from hell. The movie introduced viewers to a race of demons called Cenobites, most notably one nicknamed Pinhead -- who became one of the most enduring horror characters of the decade -- who was summoned using an antique puzzle box.

Watching Hellraiser in 3-D, will be like listening to "Bohemian Rhapsody" in braille.

Best left alone me thinks....like practically every film that's been remade in the last 20 years! Having said that, we've got Doug Bradley (Pinhead) as the special guest at our Empire High WYcombe Halloween Allnighter on Saturday which should be awesome! The films may have declined in quality as the series went on, but Bradley always Rocked!

couldn't actors just say no to such awful remakes?...i mean geez...we're not paying you actors or film makers for charity...we pay for good ORIGINAL entertainment...and if you studios so much as touch another movie to remake, make it GOOD...hellraiser remake...nightmare on elm street remake...scanners?? lol...wow these remakes just won't bring that level of appeal that the originals had

I don't get it. What's not to like? Flesh-ripping chains coming at your eyeballs. Gore spraying at your face. If any project ever could transfer well to 3D, it's be Hellraiser.

okay a couple things
first off... f*ck YOU HOLLYWOOD stop remaking things that were done right the first time i honestly can u name the last GOOD horror remake? Halloween, the hills have eyes, friday the thirteenth and so many more all suck zebra d*ck
secondly... just stop already with the 3D. When 3D first came out it was like "holy sh*t thats awesome!" now they use it in f*ckING EVERYTHING. when will they start realizing that for half the new 3D movies the 3D dont add sh*t! Did any1 see UP? DIDNT. ADD. sh*t. I want my money back
