Should Tobe Hooper Reboot "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"?

Should Tobe Hooper Reboot "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"?Submit Comment
Director Tobe Hooper, the man behind the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," may have a chance to return to the franchise now that Twisted Pictures has acquired the rights to it from Platinum Dunes.

According to STYD, Hopper recently switched representation to Evolution Management, a firm that shares an office with Twisted Pictures, which is now looking to reboot "Massacre." The plan is to completely ignore the last two Platinum films and to sign a capable director.

Last night, the site attended the after-party for the "Saw VI" premiere and spotted Hooper sitting with actor Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and the key players from Twisted Pictures. So, clearly there is a relationship there, but is Twisted considering signing on Hopper to reboot his own franchise?

Why is it the only thng people can come up with now is either a sequel, remake, and now reboot?

I say for every remake (it's a remake, not a f*cking 'reboot' you hollywood douchebags. Stop using your crappy marketing gimmicks) the movie fans kill a child.

Tobe going back to his last film that was worth a damn sounds like a good idea.

But please, please Tobe, f*ck up 'From a Buick Eight' before you ramrod another Massacre film down our tired cinematic throats.

Rebooting a reboot of a remake. Sounds confusing. Pretty soon there will be more reboots of TCM than it has sequels. Will Matthew Mcconaughey be reprising his role as Leatherface's tow truck driving, head stomping hillbilly cousin in this reboot? It really was the best thing ever to happen to a TCM film.

wow...another reboot/remake that i probably won't see...i'll pay for great originality though...heath ledger's last film is already beating a lot of lame excuses for a film out of the water...fantastic mr. fox is coming out soon...and i know it's based off a book, but it's still more original than this, and the 80s animation is strong with the force lol

A real Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 would be nice instead of the crap that followed 2 in the 90's.
