Bruce Willis Confirmed for "Kane and Lynch" Video Game MovieSubmit Comment
Bruce Willis will play a mercenary murderer in the "Kane and Lynch" film, based on the popular video game.

The film's producer, Adam Askarieh, told GameDaily: "[Willis] called it one of the best action scripts he's ever read, and Bruce is an expert in terms of action scripts because he's read everything over the last 20 years."

Willis will play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a convicted murderer who is kidnapped by his former employers while being bussed to death row. He teams up with "schizophrenic psychopath" James Seth Lynch in a twist that sees heroes who are as sociopathic as the villains.

Askarieh added: "Kane and Lynch is a great buddy action movie. It's the story of a mercenary teaming up with a schizophrenic psychopath to save his wife and daughter."

Is it possible this might be the first video game film to actually be somewhat decent?

jsut wondering how is that guy going to use that gun sight?..lol. never played the game, nor did i read the comic for "Surrogates" so i guess this will be mediocre too. always seems to work out that way.

What the f*ck was he thinking when he read Die Hard 4 then!?!? Die Hard In name only..

Well I guess since good games always become crap movies, maybe a crap game might actually become a good movie.
Eben1277 writes:

die hard 4 wasn't too bad, would have been better R rated though
lost_addict writes:

please cut the crap and make die hard 5 already...and make it R rated this time, you son of a bitch.

Scrooge McDuck writes:

I still think it's weird that they're making a movie based on a game that didn't sell and wasn't reviewed well.
mattcl23 writes:

This could work as long as Bruce is on board.

People always said that bruce willis should star in this if it everbecame a movie. They got their wish. The game was never that good but the plot held up. It is a rare case that the movie may work better than the game. Watching the plot unfold and the characters dialogue was better than playing the game. By that note this has to be the easiest game to movie transition. Also there isn't really a fan base for the game so whos really going to complain about the film.

Itll be a sweet movie and Bruce is going to do an awesome job, but Id wish they would move forward with the damn Splinter Cell movie already!!

I really loved this game, but the voice acting, characterization and plot were what actually made the game stand out.

If any game can make a good movie, it's Kane and Lynch.

I initially thought this was going to have Michael Caine and David Lynch in it.

I'm dissapointed.

I'm gonna say I'm sold. If they got someone like Bruce, how can they let this fall to the same level as previous game adaptations. This one may actually turn out solid.

mickey rourke should play lynch

Are we ever gonna get a GTA live action film starring Ray Liotta as Tommy Vercetti? With all the established plots, well written dialoge and characters, and fan base a GTA movie seems way to easy! And yet we get a PG-13 Max Payne, an idiotic Hitman, and now Kane and Lynch (a game that always seems to be available for rental at the video store). I swear, the combined IQ of all the producers in Hwood must be floating around 50. Isn't there at least one f*cking decision maker in that town that doesn't have his head completely rammed up his ass? And don't give me that sh*t about production rights. If there's a sh*tload of profit to be made, someone can get it done! sh*t, with the billions they've made on GTA already Rockstar Studios should finance the film itself. It would require virtually no CGI costs so the pricetag would be ridiculously low. Hire a good director, cast the right lead, and rate it M for Mature and it can't go wrong. And guess what, there are already established spinoffs and sequels (San Andreas, Liberty City) at your disposal after the original's a hit. There you go Hollywood, I just made you a billion dollars! It ain't rocket science.

bruce willis is and still is watchable...i still think 'the fifth element' was his best
victor arroyo writes:

Perfect for the role and I like the idea of mickey rourke as Lynch. I actually liked the game, great story.

I respectfully disagree synthetic1985, I like Twelve Monkeys and 16 blocks better (fifth element was good duh).

And Hitman was a pice of sh*t, hitman should have been Mark Strong, directed by Zack Snyder.

Max Payne was just awful, I'm not a John Moore fan, sorry.

Price of Persia is looking good.

And yes SACdaddy a GTA movie starting Ray Liotta would be classic, check out NARC, f*cking awesome, it would be like that, but more violent, maybe Martin Scorsese as director, but he would never go for it.

PEACE!
