We've been hearing quite a bit about the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film, like that it will be based on a novel called "On Stranger Tides," that "Chicago" director Rob Marshall is in talks to helm, and that fans will see it in theaters during the summer of 2011.
But recently, Disney fired chairman Dick Cook and Johnny Depp didn't take it very well, staring that the only reason why he starred in the films was because of Cook. Depp added that his excitement for "Pirates 4" has diminished.
Now comes word from Bill Nighy, who played Davy Jones in the franchise, that the announcement of "Pirates of the Caribbean 4" was premature.
"I understand that there was an announcement that there was going to be a fourth, and now I've been told since that that was not a reliable announcement," Nighy told Sci-Fi Wire.
He added that there will likely be a fourth film, but maybe not in 2011. "I'm pretty sure that there will be [a fourth]," Nighy said. "I would be amazed if there weren't, given the success of the first three."

Bill Nighy would be the only reason I would see these movies again as well of Jack Davenport, but both characters are dead

Dead? Barbossa was dead. Jack Sparrow was dead. Will died, had his heart cut out and Then..replaced Davy Jones (who fell off the deck of his ship And was probably already dead BEFORE he fell into the ocean). Death has no meaning in a Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Movie!! Do ya thinK!?!
