"Wolverine 2" Details Revealed

"Wolverine 2" Details RevealedSubmit Comment
Empire magazine had the chance to speak to producer Lauren Shuler Donner about the upcoming "Wolverine" sequel, which is apparently the closest X-Men project to go into development.

"This movie will really focus on the relationship between Wolverine and Mariko, the daughter of a Japanese crime lord, and what happens to him in Japan," she said. "Mariko's father has this stick-like weapon, so Wolverine will have to fight against that. There'll be samurai, ninja, katana blades, different forms of martial arts - mano-a-mano, extreme fighting."

She continued: "We want to make it authentic so I think it's very likely we'll be shooting in Japan. I think it's likely the characters will speak English rather than Japanese with subtitles."

"We want to make it authentic"

Alright, good effort from Fox, wanting to make it look authentic for once!

"I think it's likely the characters will speak English rather than Japanese with subtitles."

OH f*ck ME.

"Mariko's father has this stick-like weapon."

And Wolverine has six razor sharp, foot long, indestructible claws, an excellerated healing factor and super-hightened agility and senses.

Watch out, Wolvie!!! That old guy has a stick!!!

The first Wolverine movie... his claws were so long that were he to retract them, he wouldn't have been able to bend his arms at the elbows.

And don't get me started on how thick the blades were as when compared to his in the X-Men movies.

So continuity was pretty Lohan to say the least.

Several months ago I would've been very excited by this news...

Now it just reminds me of how bad they f*cked up the first Wolverine and how pissed I was...and I guess still am

I wonder if they'll misuse Gambit again, god I love watching my gavorite comic book character being butchered, still liked they used him but come on...

I have high hopes for this

hmmm, I like this. If they concentrate on the Japan storyline for this one, there may be no room for Alpha Flight/Omega Red/more brainwashing. To bring it full circle to Singer's XMen, Logan has to be sent to assassinate Xavier.... which could mean they intend to 3 films like they said originally.
I'd be much happier seeing it told over 3 movies.

They should throw in Bloodscream and Roughhouse and his Patch disguise for good measure.

so i watched district 9. $30million budget. They've got a city sized ship in the sky, hundreds of human sized 'prawns' running and gunning, and Ed209.

They sold me on every effect.

And I watch Wolverine. $150million budget. Wolverine gets his claws out in John and Martha Kent's bathroom.

about thirty people behind me start giggling.

please don't make another wolverine film.

because 150 million is cheaper than 30 million right??...only in 20th century fox's case i guess

When I saw that bar scene in XOWOLV I thought Madripoor not Japan, Roughhouse fighting Patch would be cool sh*t... and then the Grey Hulk shows up!
