Video: Watch Mark Wahlberg Shoot a Scene for "The Fighter"Posted: October 16th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Today we have a video from the set of the upcoming "The Fighter" movie, starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. In it, director David O. Russell takes us through a boxing scene, including the prep work and the actual shoot. Check it out below.
In the movie, Wahlberg will play Boston boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward, a fighter who was losing bouts and was ready to hang up the gloves when his brother came back into his life.
Bale will play Eklund, whose drugs and robbery spree drew him a 10- to 15-year sentence in state prison. There, he kicked drugs, became a model prisoner and emerged as a changed man who helped his brother reach the glory that eluded him.

Nope.com, He'll do a good job here because Russell is actually a good director, and directed him to a good performance in Three Kings. The thing about Marky Mark is that he is completely director-reliant when it comes to his performances. You get him with a good director who takes the time to help him build a good character (Scorsese, PT Anderson, DO Russell, James Grey), he delivers great performances. If you pair him with a piece of shit hack (John Moore, Shyamalan, etc.), they, since he relies heavily on a director's instruction, lead him into terrible performances because they don't give a shit.
