Ivan Reitman Attached to Direct "Ghostbusters 3"Posted: October 10th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Director Ivan Reitman helmed the first two "Ghostbusters" movies, and since the entire cast is returning for the third installment, it would only make sense to put Reitman behind the camera once again.
According to Bloody-Disgusting, that's exactly what Columbia Pictures wants and has even attached him to the project. Unfortunately, Reitman is still not sure if he's up for it, thus has yet to confirm his involvement. Stay tuned.
So, if for some reason Reitman doesn't end up taking the job, what about hiring his son instead? Jason Reitman has impressed critics with such films as "Thank You for Smoking," "Juno" and "Up in the Air," but he recently rejected the idea of stepping in for his father.
He wrote: "Some Ghostbusters 3 chatter today. Even suggestions that I direct. You don't want me directing GB. It would be all talk and no busting."

Let Ramis do it. Not either Reitman. Jason Reitman has the whole Autuer thing going for him and it, even being a good film, would tarnish that reputation.

Ivan should do the job. The other two were huge hits under his vision, no reason to change up the formula.

They should get all the original cast and crew back for GB3, that way, when it bombs they have only themselves to blame.
Far too often when a sequel sucks they blame the new guy, directore , actor, whatever...

i think it would be awesome for Ivan Reitman to direct. Same cast same director. for two reasons he did great job on the originals and if they do fuck up its what dre-el said they have only themselves to blame.

If Reitman Jr. did it, it'd be a quirky, indie, hipster fest with ghosts thrown in.
