Photos: Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas on "Wall Street 2" SetPosted: October 7th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas were spotted in New York today filming "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps." The actors were dressed sharply and walked around the set with director Oliver stone. Check out the photos below.
Plot: It's 21 years later and Gordon Gekko (Douglas) has finished serving his prison sentence. He finds himself on the fringe of the financial community and is cautioning Wall Street that the "end is coming" -- but nobody is listening. So Gordon becomes obsessed with trying to repair his ruptured relationship with his daughter.
LaBeouf is a young Wall Street trader who's engaged to be married to Gekko's estranged daughter. He wants to be a major player, but his mentor unexpectedly kills himself, and he thinks a villainous stock-shorting worldwide hedge fund manager (Josh Brolin) is responsible. So LaBeouf goes to Gordon saying, "I need your help", and makes a deal with Gekko who in return wants LaBeouf's help getting back with the daughter.
The new movie is scheduled to hit theaters on April 23rd, 2010.

'(Gekko)...is cautioning Wall Street that the "end is coming" -- but nobody is listening. So Gordon becomes obsessed with trying to repair his ruptured relationship with his daughter.'
LaBeouf's character: 'He wants to be a major player, but his mentor unexpectedly kills himself,' --- ahh... if Gekko is your father-in-law know his expertise... why wasn't he your FIRST choice for a Mentor?!
Why don't they just call this movie:
'WHO GIVES A SHIT?!'
(and this coming from me... a HUGE fan of the first WallStreet). I wonder if Michael slips up and calls Shia, 'Cameron' sometimes?

And again I ask... when did he have a daughter? He had a son named 'Rudy' in the first movie. Unless he paid his bail (unlikely considering his crimes), got out and knocked-up the Mrs. So... will there be ANY mention of his son (Rudy) in this flick... or have Stone and Douglas gotten so senile they forgot Gekko has one?!

Can someone please explain this sites beef with Shia? I never really understood it. I like the kid(with D.J. Caruso). I understand how this is the wierdest casting every but hollywood knows that Shia is one of the "Hot tickets" right now and has a Box-Office name....I mean it was like Micheal Cera a couple years ago....

I got nothing against him. In fact I think he's put on an amazing face of courage in light of his battle with HIV.
I just don't like this sequel's storyline at all. Gekko has lost his edge completely. He's not a business killer anymore... he just want widdle hugsy time with his poor estranged widdle girl.

Wall Street is 1987. If the sequel goes to 2010 then 23 years later not 21 as WP said

Nice suit and shoes. And cast. The rest sounds and looks bad.
"villainous stock-shorting worldwide hedge fund manager" - goddamit, they've really nailed this one! Ladies and gentleman, I present you Josh Brolin as Dr.Evil!

@ AJWPProfile...nothing against shia...but it does get annoying seeing him sidekick with popular movie heroes...he should do his own shit...like something original...but these sequel movies like this, and indy 4...just makes me like him less and less

yea because james franco at least does original shit...pineapple express, annapolis, there's others i remember too but not at the moment...at least that's more credible than what shia stars in lately...like people shia's age will look up to him in this movie??...get real...if anything...hollywood's passion for unoriginal material make it easier for any of us to come out looking better once any of us joins the business...it's like these two questions i had in my head often on...did people pay money to see shia in transformers?...or did they pay money to see transformers?...everyone obviously knows that the when the first transformers came out, it was people paying money to see the movie...not shia in the movie...and this is why transformers sucked ass...it should have been more about the robots, and shown very little involvement with the humans instead of very little of the robots...i should know...i used to watch the cartoon...used to watch beast wars too...these idiots in hollywood never get it right
