"Resident Evil 4" Begins Production, More Character DetailsSubmit Comment
Screen Gems has announced that "Resident Evil 4: Afterlife," the first installment to be in 3D, has begun production in Toronto, Canada. It is expected to hit US theaters in fall 2010.

Milla Jovovich returns as the zombie-fighting heroine Alice. Ali Larter reprises her role as Claire Redfield from "Resident Evil: Extinction." Spencer Locke, who played K-Mart in "Extinction," is also set to return. New to the film franchise is leading man Wentworth Miller ("Prison Break"), who has signed on as Chris Redfield Claire's brother and a popular character from the game series. Shawn Roberts will take over the role of Alice's nemesis Wesker. Boris Kodjoe and Kim Coates have also been cast.

Director Paul WS Anderson offered a small glimpse of what can be expected in the new film: "Alice's battle with The Umbrella Corporation isn't finished. Last time we saw Alice, she let them know she was coming after them. It's time to settle the score."

Eh, the first two were watchable. Third was pointless, not quite so interested in the fourth.

Aren't they doing a reboot after this anyway that's closer to the games?

I never mind giving a zombie-killing movie a chance, but I don't have very high hopes for this one. Off topic - Best Zombie Game Ever: House of the Dead Overkill for wii! Just got it yesterday; it's cheap, gory, fun and the story is cheesetastically amazing. They tried to make it like a series of Grindhouse movies

That garbage doesn't even deserve to be a straight to dvd - it should be straight to non-cable tv. Send it to a retard home - maybe a few of the worse cases might actually be spooked.
