First Look: "A-Team" Van, Patrick Wilson Joins CastSubmit Comment
Thanks to SplashNews, we now have the first shots from "The A-Team" Vancouver set where the group's famous van is being used in a chase scene. Check out the photos of the van below.

In other "A-Team" news, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, Hard Candy) will appear in the film as a CIA operative. He is joining Liam Neeson (John "Hannibal" Smith), Bradley Cooper (Templeton "Face" Peck), Sharlto Copley (H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock), Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (B.A. Baracus) and Jessica Biel (Faceman's ex-flame).

The new movie is directed by Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces, Narc), who has promised for the tone to be less silly and more slick. It is scheduled to hit theaters on June 11th, 2010.

Because Smokin' Aces and Narc were one schtick shy of a Three Stooges short, right?

That van reminds me of the one from Edward Scissorhands. Is Anthony Michael Hall driving?

Wow... late 70's flared wheel wells. Oh wait! That's the EXACT same van they used in the TV show. Zzzzzz....

Yes, yes it is. Awesome. It's going to be a lot of fun. I'll see this in theaters. I grew up on the A-Team. The first season was very well written.
Ranger writes:

The5thBeatle - same.

Mink - I agree. The first season. Then once rolling Cannell (he was spread so thin back then) may have passed on the writing to someone else. I do not know how that guy got done what he got done (passion aside... a person has to sleep and eat, yes?).
minkowski writes:

Stephen J. Cannell was a machine, no doubt. I think he used a formaul, though, and just replaced one ingredient with the next. That was how he was able to crank out to many shows, shows that always bore some sort of resemblance to the rest. I did love how at the end they'd show him on his typewriter, then he'd pull out the sheet and toss it up airward. The paper would then curl into a stylized letter c.

Yep... I remember it well.

Rockford I believe was done with at this time.

Then he goes on to crank out:

The A-Team
Riptide
Stingray
Greatest American Hero
Hardcastle & McCormick
21 Jump Street

Pretty amazing man.

I think Nite Owl would be a great addition to this movie.
triggax writes:

Yeah thats f*cking awesome that they're keeping the original van.. and not turning into some hollywood bullsh*t with fins and flames all over it... thats raw right there...

I will definitely see this in theaters as well.

Patrick Wilson: Even when he's fat he still looks cute. Loved him in Watchmen.

I'll probably go see this movie....by sneaking into the theater or see it at an advanced movie screening.

Rampage as B.A. is like Brock Lesner as Ivan Drago in a remake of Rocky 4....Slobberknocker!!!

slayer you talk so much bullsh*t! Patrick Wilson a B list actor! Where the hell did that come from! and sharlto copely? your sh*t is messed up man...
minkowski writes:

"Patrick Wilson a B list actor! Where the hell did that come from!"

Technically, Patrick Wilson is a **C-list** actor, according to the Ulmer scale and a number of other industry standard indicators. He sure as hell isn't an A-list actor.
minkowski writes:
on September 20th, 2009 at 12:45:59 AM

Sharlto Copley isn't an A-list either. Maybe one day, but not today. Sorry, bud, but them's the facts.
triggax writes:
on September 20th, 2009 at 1:39:13 PM

Patrick wilson and sharlto copley may not be A listers, but with the success of The Hangover on his back Bradley Coopers gotta be an a lister...

And say what you want about Neeson, he may not get used as a lead so often lately, but taken owned and it raped the box office...

I f*cking hate movies that are full of a listers, they f*cking suck... I would much rather watch some B actors with f*cking integrity tackle a film like this anyways... instead of some douchey "im so awesome, ill be in my trailer" actors... f*ck that...

Actually f*ck Team Five IS a porno. But instead of helping minorities and the downtrodden, they f*ck them.

thebearjew writes:

In the 80's it was a cool van. Hell it still is. But now if i saw three middle aged white dudes and a buff black man cruising in that i wouldn't think "Oh here comes the A-team" Id think, "oh someones gonna get raped.".
synthetic1985 writes:

@ minkowski....hmm...well that's just interesting...feels like lots of things are just gettin predictable lately...i got some ideas i wanna try on that

They should've cast Ving Rhames as Baracus, and dropped the Biel-character. Otherwise good casting.

theateamfan3574 writes:

well i can honestly say that i grew up also watching this tv show and loved it. heck i even own all seasons of the a-team. i am glad that they are using the same van. but this movie is gonna royally suck simply because the cast they are getting probably will mess their lines up. i swear it never fails, theres always something or someone that messes up the integrity of the original tv plot.
