Jeffrey Dean Morgan Cast in "Red Dawn" RemakeSubmit Comment
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen) has just revealed that he has been cast in the upcoming remake of the 1984 John Milius classic "Red Dawn."

"I go to work on something about ten days after I've finished shooting ['The Losers']," he told ComingSoon. "It's a remake of a movie that I love... 'Red Dawn.' I just love that f**king movie, ever since I was a kid."

Slated to start shooting soon in Detroit, MI and be released in one year, "Red Dawn" takes place in an alternate reality where the United States has fallen to the forces of communism and focuses on a group of high school students who form a militant band to fight back.

"I guess I'm more or less the old Powers Booth character," Morgan said of his role. "There's all the kids and Powers Booth is the pilot that lands in the film and kind of helps them take down the bad guys. Blow communism away. It's a really good, young cast. I'll be the old guy in it, which is cool."

Are you sure that isn't Javier Bardem? He could be playing Fidel Castro.

f*ck you scrooge McDuck, ya RIP but don't f*cking comment that because you want attention, clearly that has nothing to do with Jeffrey Dean Morgan or Red Dawn.

I'd like to see the setting and plot for this new one, the old was pretty good.

Eh..yeah it has something to do with Red Dawn because Swayze was the LEAD in the original.

Hope Jeffrey's version is succesful, he was awesome in Supernatural.

we may have a volcano vs dante's peak film battle going on with them remaking red dawn.

here in australia they have begun production on a movie based on the book series "Tomorrow, When The War Began"

its being directed and written by Stuart Beattie, who wrote Pirates of the Caribbean- The Curse of the Black Pearl and Collateral. Also co-wrote GI Joe-ROTC and the movie Australia.

the plots are similiar, in the tommorow series of books, a group of young teens go camping and when they return an invading force has taken over their town.

they must fight off the invading enemies.
the tomorrow series is more character driven and less action heavy.
their was 7 books in the Tomorrow series.

let the war begin.
