Charlie Sheen Confirmed for "Wall Street" SequelPosted: September 8th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Charlie Sheen was a huge film star in the 1980s, but has since transitioned his career from movies to TV by producing and starring in "Two and a Half Men," one of the most watched sitcoms. He is the highest paid actor on TV, earning $860,000 per episode and working and traveling much less than he would have to do for a feature film.
But even though Sheen has a different life now, director Oliver Stone has just confirmed to NY Times that the actor will make a cameo in his upcoming "Wall Street" sequel as Bud Fox, the young trader from the original film.
No word on how Sheen has been worked into the script. He will be joining the already announced cast of Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon and Josh Brolin.
"When Gekko (Douglas) comes out of prison in the beginning of this movie, he essentially has to redefine himself, redefine his character," Stone said of the sequel's story. "He's looking for that second chance."

I'm a HUGE fan of the first movie.
But honestly, this one is starting to sound pieced together like The Green Hornet. The storyline for this sequel sucks. Gekko is trying to get onto talking terms with his daughter (and he only had a son (Rudy) in the first film - but no mention of him... yet).
As for getting Charlie to do this... Well, it's nice he's signing on. Wallstreet was a great boost to his career in '87. And doing a sit-com only takes up a little more than 6 months of your life a year, so he certainly has the time.
When Gekko is signing for his possessions to get out of jail, Michael Douglas' loser son should be seen in the background getting booked in... lol.

Michael Jackson's dad is to old to die. Somehow he found the secret to immortality.

I'm soooo curious for this. I hope it's not cheesey or forced in the end though.

Never understood why Wallstreet needed a sequel?
Maybe Stones sick of not making any money..??
So lets take one of our familiar properties and cast fucking Shia Labeouf... Might as well have done Platoon 2 with Ryan Reynolds..
Waste of fucking time.

Loved the first flick - and I think the second will be worth a watch. I'd like to see where they take Gekko's character. He's a great villain.....

I would watch another Stone Vietnam flick or an Afghanistan or Iraq one. Wall Street 2? Unless the trailer blows me away I don't think so. LaDouche would have to be absent and I don't see that happening.

Shit LaDouche gone... AND the storyline for this movie still sucks. I can not see this sequel having ANY of the magic the first one did.
