The trailer for the upcoming "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men" movie, starring John Krasinski ("The Office"), has appeared online and you can check it out below.

Plot: After her boyfriend mysteriously leaves her with little explanation, grad student Sara Quinn is left looking for answers as to what went wrong. Directing all her energies into her anthropological dissertation, Sara conducts a series of interviews with men in an effort to uncover the secret thoughts that drive their behavior. As she records the astonishing and disquieting experiences of various subjects, Sara discovers much more about men and herself than she bargained for.

The new movie is based on David Foster Wallace's book, which is a collection of short stories, displaying a deep understanding of the dark side of the male psyche. Krasinski is making his directorial debut with "Brief Interviews," which is set to hit theaters on September 25th and at the Toronto Film Festival in a few days.

Johns acting in the trailer didn't seem very well but the book is amazing, even though i have little faith it, or any of Wallace's books could properly be adapted, i'm still going to see it. The cast is fantastic and i'd really like to sleep with julliane nicholson.

I think you're mistaken about the film being shown at TIFF; however, it was shown at Sundance earlier this year. As you indicated, the theater release date for BIwHM is 9/25, but it's also appearing on VoD beginning 9/23.

It loses the anonymity of the book which I thought was an important quality, but I'll give it a chance.
