"The Green Hornet" is Now FilmingSubmit Comment
Columbia Pictures has announced that "The Green Hornet," starring Seth Rogen as the vigilante crime-fighter, has now started filming with director Michel Gondry at the helm.

In addition to Rogen, the film also stars Taiwanese actor-pop star Jay Chou as Kato, Cameron Diaz, Edward James Olmos ("Battlestar Galactica"), David Harbour (Revolutionary Road) and Tom Wilkinson (Valkyrie). Nicolas Cage is also in negotiations to appear in the film.

Hmmmm, didn't hear about Wilkinson being cast. The film will still be fecal matter, though.

i have a feeling this movie is already done and sitting on a shelf while gondry just keeps f*cking with us.

i am a huge Green Hornet fan and i'm more than excited to see this/.

They're already filming, yet they don't have all the cast in place... yet?

Sure, sure. I'll believe this when I don't go to see it!

Every Michel Gondry film is worth to be seen... Even his most mediocre pics have at least four or five brilliant ideas. And I don't think he'd get involved in this without the warranty of a good script and the freedom to develope his vision

THEY JUST STARTED?!

No wonder it was f*cking pushed back.

what the f*ck now,, one day its being pushed back 5 months the next, its being film... its the f*cking green hornet with seth rogan... Im sure this is just away to try to get people interested in it. watch after its filmed, it will have its release date pushed back and have more f*ck ups than the new wolf man.... and honestly who the f*ck cares,, the green hornets fan base is not what it use to be.....

The trailer for the new Wolf Man flick actually looks pretty good. Youve got A-list actors, and the cinematography is first class. It's going to be legendary, mate.

I caught a screening of The Wolf Man.. Other than Del Toro's accent it was f*cking INCREDIBLE...

The screening I watched was MONTHS ago so I had assumed it would have been released much sooner than february... Too bad you should all go see it.. it's balanced really well for a horror flick. The acting is top notch the direction is perfect.. the writing even is f*cking great, emily blunt is f*cking sexy...

Good movie...

Green Hornet might be a decent film. Gondry doesn't make that much crap and Tom Wilkinson is awesome.

I wonder if Seth will have a: 'Do you know why you're gay Kato?' scene in it?

Is it too much to ask for a real martial artist to play the role of a martial artist. I mean c'mon, you're going to go from Bruce Lee to a pop singer.

Although Im a huge GH fan, I am not looking forward to this. As campy as it was it still wasnt a staight out comedy. Now with a fat green hornet and a pop singer kato, this movie is bound to suck.

i have a feeling this movie will be one of those are a sooo bad that you have to watch it

Is it just me. Or did any chance of this movie looking remotely decent die when Stephen Chow detatched himself fromt his movie? I mean, I know the actual Green Hornet was a faggy wannabe Batman and Kato was a ass-kicking, math-solving, green-card holding Alfred who could get stains out of anything!! But no bad-ass Kato, no Green Hornet...

Starship Troopers was a work of genius. I still watch that movie when I'm bored and in the mood for some Bug-huntin'!
Ranger writes:

Same here.

Every fricken time it's on I'll watch it.

It's like driving by a car accident. You just have to look. Plus Denise Richards no-spill lips were at their best (pre-spawning) back then. So was her waistline, face, body...

I have faith in Gondry. And I really don't mind Rogen. It'll be nice to see him in a more serious role.
PrevalentMind writes:

Yeah Lost Warrior the Green Hornet fanbase hasn't been what it used to be since the friggin 60's...

...but Seth Rogen's fanbase is one of the biggest in the young adult demographic. With Seth we already know this isn't going to be the Green Hornet, BUT I'm pretty sure Rogen could pick any dying out hero property and his fans would still drag half the world to see it.
