Bloody-Disgusting has learned that Ben Ketai has been hired to direct the sequel to "30 Days of Night," called "30 Days of Night: Dark Days," from a story by Steve Niles and Ketai.

Shooting is scheduled to begin this October in Vancouver, Canada, with Stella Oleson returning as the lead character. In the new film, Stella joins a group of vampire hunters in order to get revenge on Lilith - the vampire responsible for the attack on her Alaska town.

Ketai previously wrote and directed the web series "30 Days of Night: Blood Trails" and "30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust."

Excellent. I love Stella. I want them to hurry up and get to Dead Space where vampires take over the space shuttle.

Sounds good. First one was good and very accurate to the novel.

"First one was good and very accurate to the novel."

Just because It was accurate to a novel does NOT make the movie good.

Even if the twilight movies were 100% faithful to the book, they'd still suck nutsacks.

"do you people like anything?"

Yes we do, thanks for asking.

And the reason I liked 30 Days, for any reason, considering how much I am repelled by the proliferation of worthless zombie/vampire films, is because of how well the events in the film fit within the mythology of Blade, if that makes any sense at all to you.

It does sound, though, from all indications (not based on a book, the plot, Melissa George leading, even the f*cking stupid title) that the sequel will suck sand-scrubbed camel c*ck.

Yeah I thought the first one was pretty good, but wasnít there an article on here prior to this one on how the sequel was going to be a straight to DVD? Doesnít sound good, although I like that the chick is back

it will prolly suck since josh hartnet most likely wont be returning since he turned to ashes at the end of the first movie

"So... will this be a day or a night shoot?"

If they put Megan Fox in it, I'd say both.

The first was a pleasant suprise, this could be good.
Ranger writes:

Put Lohan in it and it's a Skank Shoot!
minkowski writes:

You can't put her in it Ranger, or it would be just one more guy blowing his wad on Lohan.
