UpcomingPixar noticed that in an old featurette for Pixar's "Up" is a shot showing Greg Dykstra sculpting a model for a young version of Carl. Behind him are several never-before-seen pieces of concept art of a boy and a dinosaur. But what is this concept art for?

To get some answers, a fans sent a message to Pixar story supervisor Ronnie del Carmen to find out if he knows anything about a Pixar project that includes a boy and giant dinosaur. "I do," he replied. "But not telling. Nothing to do with anything 'Toy Story,' tell you that."

So, it's not from "Toy Story 3," and it's obviously not from "Cars 2," "The Bear and the Bow" or "Newt." We're going to have to assume the art is from a new short film.

Take a look at the image below and let us know if you have any idea what Pixar project the art belongs to.

Pixar doing time travel would be cool, but if it's talking dinosaurs 'land before time' style, that would be a big fat pile of silly.

E.T. meets the Land Before Time. Much like the Flinstones meet the Jetsons.

time travel movie would be cool...but it's too scientific...if they can keep the fantasy like in 'monsters inc.' with all those portal doors to kids' closets....well that would just be nice...so far i think they've done a great job

but i'd much rather see a bug's life sequel or any sequel other than cars 2

I would think its for the short in front of Toy Story 3.....TOY STORY 3!!

Not time travel, just Boy and His Pet Dinosaur. I don't think the boy or the dino has to travel though time, to make the story work. I mean, this is coming from a company that gave us talking cars and an anthropomorphic lamp.

Yea, where'd this time travel stuff come from.

And mink, don't forget clouds that make all living things for storks to deliver them to us humans, either.

And toys that come alive.

And the kid friendly Watchmen

No sh*t.

That dino doesn't really look giant, just looks like a regular dinosaur. Maybe even a bit on the small side if that's a kid with him?

After Cars came out, I watched all the Pixar films again. The prevalence of the Dinoco logo in the films gave me the impression Pixar would eventually tackle a dinosaur related project. And since the design of the dinosaur in the concept art is nearly IDENTICAL to the Dinoco logo...

Well beyond the MILA moment, I'm actually interested to see what Pixar can do with dinosaurs. As long as they don't make 'They're Back!' in 3D, I'm good.
