Liam Neeson Gets US Citizenship After Wife's Death

Liam Neeson Gets US Citizenship After WifeSubmit Comment
Liam Neeson (Schindler's List) appeared on ABC' "Good Morning America" to promote his new film "Five Minutes of Heaven" and while on the show, he mentioned that he is now officially an American citizen.

The Northern Ireland-born actor said that the warmth from well-wishers in the US after his wife's death prompted him to seek citizenship. His wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died in March following a skiing accident in Canada.

Neeson added that he is still getting extraordinary letters of condolences from people in the US. "I've been living here for 20 years and America's been very very good to me," he said. "I'm still a proud Irishman, of course, but I've become an American citizen. I'm very, very proud of that."

So Liam and Tom Sizemore are officially in a race to see who can get to the opposite ends of the celebrity spectrum. I still think Tom's got the lead.

Ranger writes:

No... she was 'taken' by it.

Now, get Taken II rolling.
SpookyCupcakes writes:

Taken II would kick so much ass.

I like how 'Taken' brought back the 80's style of action heroes, just a guy kicking ass and saving the day, but not in an overly chiche or campy matter either.

I'd gladly see a 'Taken II'
Ranger writes:

We have a plot for Taken II. Basically, Liam Neeson goes around pwning the sh*t out of skiers for 2 hours.

One of the finest actors is now a Yank- maybe we can get our style back... Naw, Lohan's ruined the rep of actors everywhere... Liam, we salute you.
Ranger writes:

No... Lohan has ruined the name of whores everywhere. The Actors reputation remains intact.

If anyone likes liam neeson anyone ever see him in the movie called Krull? He plays a bandit he acts out dying really well he is just that good of an actor. Krull was made in 1984.
