"The Green Lantern" is Moving to the USPosted: August 27th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
We recently reported that the upcoming DC Comics movie "The Green Lantern," starring Ryan Reynolds, was set to start filming in Australia in two weeks, but had to go find a different location due to budget concerns. Even though the country offers tax incentives, its rising Australia dollar is said to have blown out production costs by about $20 million.
/Film has now learned that director Martin Campbell has been recently scouting locations in Louisiana, which means that production could be moving to the US. The good news is that Warner Bros had a contingency plan, the bad news is that filming will not begin in two weeks anymore. The goal now is to get the cameras rolling by next year.
What this delay means for the June 17th, 2011 release date and Reynold's busy schedule is yet to be seen. Stay tuned.

What a cluster-fuck this production has turned out to be.
DC has NO IDEA what the hell they're doing.
Maybe this Snafu and Ryan's schedule may seem him get his first choice eventually... The Flash!
Really... and DC higher-ups check into this site? Because you're a fucking joke! Go suck it!

that manip and the fact that it's Martin Campbell helmed are the only things that give me a glimmer of hope it'll be at least as good as Casino Royale/Batman Begins.. unlike Wolverine/Superman Returns territory

Ryan Reynolds, as both Flash and the Green Lantern, looks to have a fast-paced and bright future.

So Warner Bros... just get the pickle outta yer lazy, dis-organized ass and get filming fucking super hero movies already. Do you think it makes you look good whilst (previously BANKRUPT) Marvel kicks your ass around the playing field like this ALL THE TIME?!?! Get some fucking pride already!
