Thanks to STYD, we now have a brand new poster for the upcoming sixth installment in the "Saw" franchise, showing hands made to look like boxing gloves. Check it out below.

Plot: Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood.

The new movie is directed by Kevin Greutert, the editor on the previous five films, and is set to hit theaters on October 23rd.

Am I the only one who thinks the Saw posters for all the sequels are FAR more inventive than the tired movies themselves? The posters all have clever and visually disturbing ideas where as the films are dire and 95% unimaginative?

Saw 1 and 2 were awesome. 3 and 4 sucked. 5 was okay (but only for fans of the series) because it told a lot of back story. I'll walk in with low expectations for the 6th and probably enjoy it a little at least.

it looks ok - it looks fun but basically the I only loved the first Saw movies...

I usually stick with franchises longer than most people (I mean, I liked Spider-man 3, Live Free or Die Hard, the Star Wars Prequels, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, come on!) but for some reason I've just lost interest in this franchise. It's not fun.

That's my problem with these "torture porn" movies. They're no fun. I give Saw more credit than most of these types of movies because this franchise at least tries to have a story and connecting plotline. But still, that's not enough any more. I love the old Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm Street movies, which all went on forever, but as violent and bloody as they can be, the effects are pretty cheesy and the acting is weak and they have a nice 80's feel to them. So they're fun. Now, special effects, makeup, and sound have gotten so good that it looks really real when we see someone gutted on screen. So instead of a fun, sometime creepy movie, we get full-on brutality that literally looks like an hour and a half of people being eviscerated on camera. Which, just isn't fun for me to watch.

This started off as a great and original movie thats been slowly dying ever since Saw II. It should've ended when Jigsaw died. Although in the last one, they should throw in people like Lindsay Lohan and Channing Tatum. Only make it a reality movie where they actually are being tortured. Now THAT is a movie that would sell at the B.O.

The real question lies: Does anyone give a flying sh*t anymore?
