"Super Max" is Still in Development

"Super Max" is Still in DevelopmentSubmit Comment
We've been hearing about Warner Bros' "Super Max" movie for a while, but there doesn't seem to have been any real movement on the project even though the studio has been saying that it is fast tracking many DC Comics properties.

Now, David S. Goyer has revealed to MTV News that the project is still in development. "We're working on that. We're about to bring on another writer," he explained. "Obviously, Warner Bros is now heavily into mining all of the various DC properties."

"Super Max" revolves around Oliver Queen (aka the Green Arrow), who is unjustly locked up in a federal penitentiary for meta-humans and forced to rely on a whole bevy of villains to make his escape villains like Lex Luthor, The Joker and The Riddler.

Justin Marks (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) has been working on the script for over a year. Bringing on another writer could mean either that the studio is unhappy with his work or that it simply wants to put the final touches on it. For now, all Goyer has to say is that "it's definitely something we're developing."

This movie has some serious potential, but if they think Marks is their man they are so wrong. Look at the steamer he wrote w/ the SF:Chun-Li movie.

A-list villains and a B-list hero... seems interesting

Though you could always play Batman: Arkham Asylum

If they continue to use the writer from Street Fighter this movie will suck just as bad.

I have never understood this movie, call me a skeptic but Green Arrow without a bow and arrow? I would rather see Nightwing get locked up...
