Brandon Routh Vying for "World of Warcraft" Role

Brandon Routh Vying for "World of Warcraft" RoleSubmit Comment
About two weeks ago, Legendary Pictures has announced that Sam Raimi ("Spider-Man" trilogy) has signed on to helm "World of Warcraft," based on the wildly popular game by Blizzard Entertainment.

And now that "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh is hoping that he can join this $100 million movie, since he will likely not be back as the man of steel. "They just announced that Sam Raimi is directing, so that's very cool," he said. "My friends over at Legendary are working on that. So I'm looking forward to what's going to happen with that."

When asked if he would like a part in the film, Routh replied with a smile: "Get a little action, a little sword fighting, that would be a lot of fun."

Hopefully he gets a part and everything works out because he really gave it his all when playing Supes. Along with this potential role and the upcoming Dylan Dog movie, at least he is getting some semi high profile work. Hope everything works out for him. Now Raimi needs to make sure the script is good before thinking about filmming (we do not want another cinematic abortion like Spidey 3).

"Get a little action..." Has this guy ever witnessed a game of WOW? Nobody, anywhere is getting action while this game is on--ever.

Hehehe... Good point, Donald Kaufman!

Your correct on that Donald Kaufman. WOW is still the nations best selling p*ssy deterrent. I hope Routh gets the part as well. His past roles have been really solid, he deserves another chance at a blockbuster.

The guy needs to get a personality first,he has to be one of the blandest 'stars' around.And New world accents in fantasy film never work...ever!

In a world totally comprised of faggy geeks, he'll fill a spot in there somewhere....and he actually means 'action'...as in action scenes. We moved on to simply "gettin some" a long time ago. If you're still using the phrase "get some action" you're hurting your chances with the Huuuuarrrrs the world over.

@rocketman

Agreed. While he's not a bad actor, he doesn't deliver anything that makes him memorable. Was surprised to see him in 'Zack and Miri make a porno', but he wasn't even very funny in that. Mostly was dying at Justin Long playin his gay lover...'I learned to not see his face as just a c*m dumpster'...f*cking hilarious

They need to get Rachel Dratch from SNL to play a murloc.

"a little sword fighting" That's gay code for "d*ck in my Bryan Singer-lovin mouth" and who at Legendary Pictures is gonna vouch for this P.N.G. after "Superman Returns"? Granted, the failure doesn't fall solely on his shoulders, But, after all that and the fact that he won't be the man of steel in future installments, who would be getting his back to headline a $100 million dollars franchise starter?? Sounds like he has "Tom arnold/true lies 2-wishing" syndrome.

Charlie9 writes:

Don't worry Brandon, get yourself out there, mix it up, bit of comedy would be cool like in Zack and Miri, and you'll always be superman (one of them), no1 can take that away from you! I'm tired.

What actor of his level is going to say "No" I won't do a movie. This guy is one step above doing fluffing duties for the "Spermman Returns - The Reach Around" movie there is no way he's going to say he wouldn't do WoW. Are we going to see a thousand articles about what movies he would do if asked like we did Zach Efron a while back?
