Brad Pitt and Josh Brolin in Eli Roth's "Endangered Species"?Posted: July 30th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Eli Roth (Hostel) has previously revealed that he will be making a PG-13 sci-fi movie, called "Endangered Species," and then follow it by an incredibly gory "Thanksgiving" film, based on his faux "Grindhouse" trailer.
Regarding "Species," he told io9 that his inspirations are "Jurassic Park," "Transformers" and "Cloverfield," but it will not have a giant monster. He added that it will take him a year and a half to make the new movie and he is hoping to have it ready to appear in theaters by Spring of 2011.
Roth also talked about casting, stating that he's writing the script with Brad Pitt (Inglourious Basterds) and Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men) in mind. "There's this guy Brad I just worked with, it would be wonderful to work with him again," he said. "Josh Brolin I'd love to work with him. Big fan of Josh and we each other's work and have been looking for something to do together."

they would want to produce it bc they won't be able to get a fat paycheck due to the low budget

Of course. It's deals like that, that made Brad $30 mil for ONE of the Ocean's movies alone. No pay now...pay me later after the ticket sales. It's common. Arnie and DeVito did it for Twins. Cruise for 4th of July. I'd do the same given the same circum (haha... I typed 'cum')stances.

Sounds interesting. I'm glad Eli's trying new things while still showing love for the gore fans.

Roth? Give me a break, then again he's has the potential to get better as Tarantino goes down. I'm kidding, Roth sucks.
