Michael Sheen Confirmed for "Tron Legacy"Submit Comment
Back in May, actor Michael Sheen (Underworld, Frost/Nixon) was hinting that he has been cast in the upcoming "Tron" sequel. He didn't confirm it at the time, but Walt Disney Pictures now has. "Yes, Michael Sheen will have a role in Tron Legacy!," the studio wrote on Twitter.

Based on Sheen's previous hints, it is assumed that he will play the villain in the new movie, which is set to hit theaters in November or December of next year.

Plot: Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

hey tolgaboy are you going to be the next annoying poster on this site who simply MUST comment on every article? It's bad enough that your comments aren't relevant or bring anything to the table

Yes, I love this man. He is fantastic.

I'm getting pretty excited for this. Now all I need is a Kingdom Hearts III announcement and a Tron Legacy level. /drool.

Could be interesting. No doubt he is a talented performer, so he could deliver something special to a film that seems to be progressing nicely.

Another sequel? Recycled ideas? Yes. When will Hollywood ever break free of this conventional "actors with heads" and "word-based dialogue" and "moving images with sound" approach?
