Video: Crowds Gather for the Worst Movie EverPosted: July 29th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
While watching Cartoon Network's Adult Swim one night, I was expecting for "King of the Hill" to be on, but instead was shown a B-movie that was of porn quality. There was terrible acting, a terrible plot, but I completely mesmerized and couldn't change the channel. At the time I actually thought it was something Adult Swim put together as a joke.
Well, it was no joke. The movie is called "The Room" and is the brainchild of Tommy Wiseau, who wrote, directed, produced and starred in it. Apparently, he raised a few million dollars and made this movie back in 2003. For some reason, it became known as the "Citizen Kane of bad movies" and is now drawing enormous crowds of fans, including Alec Baldwin and David Cross, who want nothing more than to make fun of it. "It's not like there's one or two or three things that are bad about it. There are several hundred," said Cross.
ABC News captured the bizarre craze and you can now watch their report below. For more information about "The Room," including a trailer and upcoming screenings, visit the film's official site.

I don't see why this is news. This is nothing new at all. People have been doing the same thing for Ed Wood's "Plan 9 From outer Space" for YEARS.

Plus, the worst film ever made has to be Lethal Combat (A.K.A Techno Warriors 2). Seriously that movie is horrible and i have no idea how much worse film-making can get.

haha Man there's plenty of films worse than Battlefield Earth. At least Be is well acted, well paced, and has some decent effects...WickerMan has the gold as best worst movie- christ that flick is hilarious- screaming for no reason, huge plot holes, punching old ladies the fuck out, AND Nic Cage in a bear suit punching women...seriously- it is drinking game good.

My vote for worst movie - Space Truckers. The movie actually has a few names in it but its awful in every way. A must see. The villain even rebuilds his own body after almost being killed, and has to start his cock up like a lawnmower during a potential rape sequence. It's just altogether lame.

Oh man Troll 2 is just intolerable. I really dont find anything funny about it in a so bad its good sense. It just takes itself soooo seriously. I do love the redux videos of it though.

SO in that respect Troll 2 is hilarious- but get drunk with buddies hilarious? I dunno man haha- maybe it has to do with moods, but I was so damn numb to the thing after 20 minutes and I was prepared for how bad it would be.

Citizen Toxie is pretty damn bad! The opening scene alone is hilarious...then again anything Troma has done is disgusting, terrible, and fantastic for that reason. "Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D", "Class of Nuke Em High"...Where you'll learn the 3 R's. Readin', Ritin', and Radiation!

You've all listed some pretty terrible sounding films, but i swear they cannot be half as bad as Lethal Combat. This film isn' so bad it's good, it's not so bad it's painful. It's so bad that i heard the FBI makes terrorists watch it twice in a row and the terrorist surrenders every secret they ever had. You don't need a Room 101, just a 2 showings of Lethal Combat.
