"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" DVD/Blu-ray Covers and SpecsSubmit Comment
For Home Entertainment has announced a 1-disc DVD, 2-disc DVD, and Blu-ray editions of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" to hit stores on September 15th. Check out the artwork below.

The only bonus material on the 1-disc DVD is a "Wolverine Unleashed: The Complete Origins" featurette.

The 2-disc DVD will include that, along with a commentary by Director Gavin Hood, a second commentary by Producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter, deleted and alternate scenes, and two additional featurettes ("The Roots of Wolverine: A Conversation with X-Men creators Stan Lee and Len Wein," "Wolverine Unleashed: The Complete Origins"), and a digital copy of the film.

The Blu-ray edition will include an additional trivia track, and the following featurettes ("Wolverine Weapon X Mutant Files: 10 Character Chronicles", "The Thrill of the Chase: The Helicopter Chase Sequence", "X Connect and On Set With Gavin Hood", "Fox Movie Channel Presents: World Premiere").

I would prefer the edition where the film is actually good, rather than just commentary on why the film sucked more ass than Zac Efron in a room full of Japanese businessmen.

It would probably be worth a purchase just to listen to Gavin Hood commenting on how much Fox and company f*cked the film.

JUST SAY NO!!! This movie doesn't deserve another dime of our money.
BigTate writes:

I don't know, the commentary tracks could be interesting. I'd like to hear Gavin Hood weeping incessantly for the whole time, and the Producers laughing to each other about how their hands are cramping from signing so many checks. What, no featurette on how drunk the writers were?? Ryan Reynolds better f*cking make a good movie out of Deadpool.

I'll wait until the movie drops below 7$.

It's funny when Jackman fans say that he got soft and started doing "sh*t" films like 'Austrailia' and the such, but they j*zz themselves over how "SUPER f*ckING AWESOME COOL INTENSE WICKED SICK" his mediocre portrayal of Wolverine is in an even more mediocre (and by that I mean complete sh*t) adaptation of X-men.

i'm glad i never paid for this movie...20th century fox can suck my nuts for all i care...at least until they decide to make it the right way

even if i was rich i wouldn't buy this...

Guess what? Haven't seen it yet, and in no hurry.

I saw a trailer for this after someone on here posted how bad the CG (on his claws for example) was... and man, where they ever right. Jr. High Schoolers would have done a better job.

So... I'll just wait to watch on movie night with friends, or wait for it to hit the movie channel... I'm good (and as I've posted before, I'm an old comic collector from way back, and I'm not tripping over myself to see this... what does that say about this movie?!).
lostwarrior writes:

so is this gonna come with a bootleg edition as well.
lostwarrior writes:

and in the 1st x-men, I thought jackman did a pretty good job playing wolverine, but as they did 2 and 3 he just got more and more aweful u know. And then this trite ass sh*t came out. The bootleg was entertaining only because it was funny. and I always wondered why would they give gavin hood the go as director, i mean the guy did Tsotsi (which was good but still, and he was also in kick boxer part5, laughable)the guy has no expierence or background doing a comic book film. If u ask me, this was doomed from the get go. And f*cking Jackman, ruining an iconic character like Wolverine.. hopefully they have a whole new crew working on the dead pool film. with a director that has knowledge of the character as well as expierence in the comic book field..

Same thing happened with Depp and Pirates...
SpookyCupcakes writes:

Except 'Pirates' wasn't complete and total sh*t.
synthetic1985 writes:

i don't think experience is required to make a successful comic book adaptation...it just has to be done right...once again, there's NO excuse whatsoever why they can't make it right....they're heads are so far up their asses...it would explain why all these ideas and directions that they want to take these comics/characters end up as 'sh*t'...cuz they're poppin out ideas out of their ass instead of their brain...i can't think of any other analogy that describes how lame these people really are
Ranger writes:

That's exactly WHY people have to get off of Singer's back for Supes Returns. IF they KNEW OLD Supes stuff (I mean right back to Action Comics #1, 1938) they'd KNOW he knows (and loves comics). X-Men didn't really tank until X3... guess what?! NO Singer! So as long as Singer is around... his love for comics, and Nolan keeps doing Batman... we're ok.
KaloVisor writes:
on July 28th, 2009 at 8:03:07 PM

couldn't they come up with a better cover?
synthetic1985 writes:
on July 28th, 2009 at 8:12:17 PM

@ Ranger...i agree x-men was fine until x3 i thought too...well...i guess x-3 would have been fine if NOBODY DIED...or OTHER DRASTIC CHANGES WERE MADE! lol...but that's an easy fix...just f*cking make x-men 4, bring in apocalypse so that he brings back any dead mutants that they killed off...bring in jubilee and discard kitty pride...make iceman and rogue break up so that gambit can be there for it and i dunno...just start a whole new trilogy there i guess...but wtf is the point?...20th century fox owns the rights and would never do that even if the fate of their company depended on it
BrandoFresh writes:

What a lame cover. It's like they don't even put forth any effort anymore. I did like the movie but it could have been way better. The DVD even looks so bland.

I actually went and saw the movie in theaters and was extremely let down. However, there was an easter egg at the end of the movie (didn't stay to find out becuase i was too disappointed in the movie). skipped to the end when i found it online, however the bootleg i was watching fast forwarded through the end of the credits and the scence. But its a scene where wolverine is at a bar having a couple of drinks and talking to someone. anyone have a link to this scene? also, i've heard that it was not the only one, and that they replaced it with a different scene a little after it was out in theaters. probably WAY behind the curve on this one, but whatever...
