The Weekend Preview

The Weekend PreviewSubmit Comment
This weekend there will be something for everyone, from sports to mobsters to dancing.

"The Benchwarmers": starring Rob Schneider, David Spade, and Jon Heder is about 3 loser friends who were always bullied while growing up and never got picked to play sports, join the Little League as grown-ups to take on the champs.

"Lucky Number Slevin": starring Josh Hartnett, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Liu, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Stanley Tucci. The film is set in the world of black and Jewish gangsters, where a man who's confused with the friend whose apartment he is staying is forced by a gangland boss to assassinate his archenemy's son. Wow, sounds confusing, but has great potential

"Take the Lead": Antonio Banderas stars as a professional dancer who volunteers to teach in the New York City public school system. But when his classic methods clash with his students' hip hop instincts, he teams up with them to create a new style of dance and becomes their mentor in the process.

Other films opening this weekend:
Phat Girlz, When Do We Eat?, Friends with Money, On a Clear Day

Phat Girlz may sneak in there. Slevin - maybe. Benchwarmers - video. Take the Lead - hope not. Might do well w/ all the Dancing w/ Stars and all dance movies doing well lately. Friends w/ Money - another Anniston flop?

Aniston's time is running out. Friends with money will be a flop and then the break up will be another.

Well, Friends with money is an independent film and it probably won't make the cash, but it might be pretty good.

Well, I love Antonio Banderas even though a lot of people do not like him as an actor, I hope "take the lead" do well (I kinda want to see this movie, love dancing:). Aniston movies? I rather wait ti'l they come out on DVD or TV.
