50 Cent Talks "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"Submit Comment
50 Cent recently spoke to MTV News about his role in the upcoming "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" film, a remake of Robert Louis Stevenson's timeless tale in which a doctor invents a potion that brings out the evil within himself.

"That one's coming up soon," he said. "It's me and Forest Whitaker. I actually just spoke to his agent yesterday. I'm supposed to play Hyde."

And although his appearance will be transformed with makeup and hair so he can play a deadlier version of Whitaker's mild-mannered Dr. Jekyll, 50 Cent said that they're just now getting around to discussing his look with filmmaker Abel Ferrara (King of New York, Bad Lieutenant). "He's an excellent director, so his creative ideas will definitely be an injective into what it's actually gonna turn out to be."

50 Cent also confirmed that his "Jekyll" will update Stevenson's tale to take place in modern times. "When you say 'Jekyll and Hyde,' it's been made a couple of times and [it's been told] from different perspectives, with different directors trying to capture it," he explained. "But this is gonna feel great. It's modern, with new talent in it. Forest Whitaker is amazing, and working beside him is a great honor."

Injective. This word, I do not think it means what you think it does.

i can't buy into 50 cent...so now he's wanting to be in more movies...and still comes out with new songs every now and then trying to make bank off of it...f*ck that

It's like Forest Whitaker is going to take a potion that will turn him into a bad actor. And of course it's going to be set in modern times. How else can they show 50-Cent with a bottle of Vitamin Water in his hand and get away with it?

it sucks because whitaker is actually a good actor and a good person, and 50 cent is..well, as i said before, a p*ssy

Is this a story from The Onion? Because this sounds absurd as f*ck, hahaha. How do you go from winning an Oscar a couple of years ago to this sh*t?!

So this is why he is having his tattoos removed? I am sure it will be worth all the pain HA HA HA HA HA HA. "Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde" will probably end up being a better adaption.

oh god, why do musicians think they can act man. Im serious, even though I dont care for the cats music and thats just me u know... but this is f*cking retarded. Forest probably had little to no say regards to who is co staring with him in the movie. Ill probably see it in a year or so on tv...

haha i don't know why i didn't realize that....50 cent is having his tattoos removed for this role despite the fact that it'll take place in modern times...geez...in my opinion, they should have left the tattoos...it fits a black mr. hyde better...dr. jekyll is the good guy...50 cent posing as a thug with tattoos tryin to get rich or die tryin or killin people would have made better sense...but pretty retarded the way he is going for this....once again proof that he is not as great as he really thinks...remember the time he had a 'representative' say that he was never rejected for the expendables and that he turned it down?

what i don't really understand is that dr. jekyll and mr. hyde always took place in say like early 1900s or something...it was like in 'mary reilly' with julia roberts and john malkovich as both dr. jekyll and mr. hyde?...and now they want to make a modern new one to appeal to crowds who don't know any better for money and publicity and more fame?...i like forest whitaker and all...but this idea just sounds dumb...why does old classics ALWAYS have to be up to date?...and why is it also that other reboots/remakes that actually take place in their respective time turn out so horrible?...some of the reasons are easy to figure out...but it's no excuse for this sh*t to happen...just my opinion though
