Thanks to Empire, we now have two international posters for the upcoming big screen adaptation of the "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" video game. The posters feature shots of Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton. Check them out by clicking on the link below.

In the new movie, Dastan, a young prince in sixth century Persia must join forces with Tamina, a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

"Prince of Persia" is directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 28th, 2010.

and even if disney ended up doing zelda for a movie...it would never meet the expectations of the majority of its fans

I'm all for breaking down color-barriers and whatnot but why the hell did they have to cast Jake "I'm unsettling" Gyllenhall in this thing? There ARE Persian actors! And heck, if they couldn't find one, I would have cast Oded Fahr(sp?) in this. He's the guy who played opposite Brendan Fraser in The Mummy (in fact, he was the best part of the movie, IMHO). Sorry to rant but as excited as I am about this movie, it's dampened by Gyllenhall.

@BlueMobius
The rant isn't out of place at all - the casting is f*cking ridiculous that's what it is! and Oded Fehr kicks ass, especially in the two seasons of "Sleeper Cell."
BTW, Disney didn't even finish these posters before posting them - if you look at the credits at the bottom you'll see that this film is titled...well "Untitled":D
looks like another Disney "quality" product in the making!

well spotted Mr Cherryc*ck. this reeks of Pirates of the Caribbean the first one will be good but when it comes to the other parts(if their is any) then "makes wet fart sound"
