Jean-Claude Van Damme's New "Eagle Path" TrailerPosted: July 20th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Instead of going to the Cannes Film Festival with "The Expendables," Jean-Claude Van Damme will instead be trying to sell his "The Eagle Path" thriller. The movie was previously called "Full Love" and we now have a trailer for it. Check it out below.
Plot: A military veteran and former mercenary, Frenchy (Van Damme) works as a taxi driver, hiding somewhere in East Asia, haunted by his past. In the midst of the chaotic Asian traffic Frenchy picks up a beautiful female passenger who will change him forever. Driven by dark memories of his childhood, he becomes determined to improve her life and, without her approval, he embarks on a journey which proves to be more dangerous and complicated then he expected.
"Eagle Path" is actually directed by Van Damme, who previously helmed "The Quest" back in 1996 also starring himself.

Looks like crap to me. I like it when he wasn't trying to be a real actor.

All his films, JCVD, are entirely interchangeable. And I loved how Sudden Death unintentionally lampooned Die Hard.

Sudden Death is a decent action flick- but sometimes it scores huge points. I mean the whole mascot fight was f*cking hilarious. I do like how this one looks though. You're lying if you don't think its a step up for what he usually does. I wouldn't say JCVD is interchangeable with other actors at all- Id never picture Seagal in Univeral Soldier or TimeCop- I just think cult hit fanboys though JCVD would have sent the man to new great heights...BUT WHY?!? A Belgium film with an unknown director and lightweight 'Being John Malkovich' elements do not rejuvenate mainstream careers. He needed the Expendables for that...

This is awesome!
The trailer says it all...a good story, good acting, good Van Dammage.
Waffle Man, eat yourself. He is 'not trying', he is a real actor and if you don't understand that, it's your problem. The Eagle Path is gonna be a masterpiece.
