Denzel Washington's "Book of Eli" Comic-Con PosterPosted: July 14th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
We already know that Denzel Washington's post-apocalyptic film "The Book of Eli" will have a presence at the upcoming Comic-Con. Today we have a poster specifically made for the event, which was created by artist Chris Weston, who was hired to make storyboards and concept art for the feature. Click on the images below to see the poster and two early versions of it.
In the movie, Washington will portray a lone hero in a not-too-distant apocalyptic future who must fight across America to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Oldman will portray the despot of a small makeshift town who's determined to take possession of the book Eli's guarding.
Allen and Albert Hughes (American Pimp, Dead Presidents, Menace II Society) are directing the post-apocalyptic drama, which is set to hit theaters on January 15th, 2010.

Yeah- you should have...this will get a lot more hype once we start getting more footage. This will be the action fans answer to The Road....and lets face it- the Hughes Brothers know how to bring the action.

I liked Pelham and even Deja Vu- but he's a wimp in both of those just pushed to the brink. Everyone loves Denzel when he's angry, pissed off, and ON FIRE! And we agree sometimes- not often hahaha- but sometimes.

Pelham didnt care much for u know. but deja vu was pretty entertaining. But yeah sometimes we agree on shit haha. But I really think he needs a hit real bad, its been kind of a steady slope downard for him, in my opinion though

@SAC - I agree FULLY! But honestly, let's add: Hopkins and Penn to that list (and my personal fav. Martin Sheen) to that list.

NO it certainly is a downward hill in terms of impact...he still chooses good films but just not characters. You cant just chew the scenery in Training Day, get an Oscar for it, and MTV award for it, then move to Man on Fire- blow our shit to the sky, and then put on a dorky shirt and a set of thick rimmed glasses and start acting like a bit of a pussy. haha a bit of a coarse description, but he just doesn't have the physical build or bone structure to pull off the "Im passive and meek" character...Im always screaming at the screen: "You're 240 pounds of muscle ya fucking tool! Go kick his ass!"
