NukeTheFridge is reporting that Jessica Biel is in-talks to join the cast of "Thor" as the love interest of the title character. The source didn't reveal which role Biel is up for, only hinting that it isn't for Jane Foster, the girlfriend of Donald Blake (Thor's alter ego).
And Biel is not the only actress looking to join the Marvel film. Natalie Portman was previously reported as being in-talks as well. Luckily, there are plenty of female roles in the franchise, including Sif (Thor's wife), Amora the Enchantress (villain) and Sif (an Asgardian warrior).
"Thor" is directed by Kenneth Branagh (Frankenstein, Hamlet) and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 20th, 2011.

I'm with acslaterson on this. This has to be one of the most interest comic properties in production right now. Look at the director and cast. Biel would be a downgrade. It's kind of like when The Expendables was on a role with their casting, then they add Stone Cold Steve Austin and Charisma Carpenter.
