AICN got their hands on a teaser poster for the upcoming vampire film "Daybreakers," starring Ethan Hawke (Training Day), Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) and Sam Neill (Jurassic Park). Check it out by clicking on the link below.
The story is set in the year 2017, when a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the dominant plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher (Hawke) works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save the human race.
The new film is directed by Michael and Peter Spierig who have only worked on "Undead" back in 2003, which had a very limited release in the US. "Daybreakers" is set to hit theaters on January 8th, 2010.

Heard this is primarliy an Australian film , with many Australian actors. But with a cast like this, it seems pretty good!

sigh.. enough with the vampires... I'm not impressed until I see a trailer. The plot sounds too much like I Am Legend anyway.

Sounds like Blade 2 kinda. Three really great actors so this should be watchable to say the least. Hope to see the trailer soon on WP.

Anybody who has seen Undead will be waiting for this. I met the Spierig brothers at Q&A session for Robert Taylor of WETA on the Gold Coast. They have a real passion and have done something great with it, I hope this is huge for them.
