Did Rupert Murdoch Leak "Wolverine" Online?Submit Comment
Remember when FoxNews writer Roger Friedman was fired for reviewing a leaked copy of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"? It all seemed very straight forward. The man downloaded an illegal copy and made that fact public in his article, while he worked for a company that is a cousin of 20th Century Fox.

But according to Friedman, he was fired because Hollywood Scientologists pressured Fox to get rid of him. His lawyer revealed to the Daily News that he plans to file a wrongful-termination suit this week. He called the suit a "slam dunk."

Friedman believes that charges over the "Wolverine" review are just a cover, and that the real reason for his termination have to do with his opinion of Scientology in several of his columns.

He claims that Tom Cruise demanded that Friedman be fired as a condition for signing on to Fox's "Wichita." And Kelly Preston (John Travolta's wife) has complained to FoxNews' executive vice president, which led to the EVP telling Friedman that he should not write about the death of Preston's son Jett and that he should go easy on Cruise's "Valkyrie."

What's more is that Friedman's attorney is claiming that the "Wolverine" leak was tracked back to Rupert Murdoch, Chairman/CEO of NewsCorp which owns both 20th Century Fox and FoxNews. According to the attorney, Murdoch asked for a DVD copy of the movie and someone made another copy of themselves.

Hell the Scientologists (evil cult bastards lol) getting him fired sounds more plausible than this guy leaking Wolverine. Like natashaliddelston said he's near death.

yeah the whole scientologist thing sounds very plausible

nice work natashaliddleston btw, this whole scientologist thing sounds about right as well, tehy love to sue anyone who speaks about their cult. And everytime a member of FOX leaves the net workd, they usually begin to tell what the company is ususally like!

Read up on Scientology back in the 1970's, those motherf*ckers are shady as f*ck!

I would totally buy FOX being behind the Wolverine leak especially since as far as I know, I haven't heard of an arrest for the link yet. But everything else about the article is absolutely hilarious stuff.

He's not gonna die... He never, EVER goes out in direct sunlight!
bluemeenie writes:

I believe it...That's what I said all along- they leaked it on purpose. And everyone knows Scientologists want to run the world.

Disney vs Scientology. Whoever wins we lose. "Walt Disney hates black people"?

Sooo we owe Rupert Murdoch the 12 bucks we saved NOT going to see that thing in theatres? Lets pin a medal on him now...but yeah sucks about Friedman's job- but was he waiting until he was DUST to retire. Get a cottage, go fishing, roll around in your bed with your settlement money and shut up already. Scientology may be a hyped up cult- but until they get nuclear weapons I think its safe to allow them their basic right to not be constantly targeted by some old dude who's been using 'freedom of speech' to justify 60 years of being an opinionated *sshole. We're all mostly opinionated *ssholes on this board and sometimes if ya keep running your mouth you're going to get burned by someone with more wit than you- in his case it was more power.

'Greedy' always loose- eventually. Or they're forced to change. Rupert Murdoch/FOX days are numbered. So is Scientology-

All Rupert Murdoch is a modern day William Randolph Hearst. (Half of you just said, "Who?"-which proves my point)
