Thomas Haden Church in Talks for "John Carter of Mars"Posted: June 14th, 2009 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

Walt Disney Pictures recently announced that "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" stars Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins have been cast in the upcoming live-action fantasy epic "John Carter of Mars," to be directed by "Wall-E" helmer Andrew Stanton.
Now, during ReelTalk, actor Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3) revealed to critic Jeffrey Lyons that he is in talks to join the film as well. "I'm probably going to do a huge science fiction drama at Disney called 'John Carter of Mars' and that's a very dramatic role," he said.
"John Carter" revolves around a damaged Civil War veteran who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars where his involvements with warring raced of the dying planet force him to rediscover his humanity.
Pic will begin filming early next year.

So Gambit, Silverfox and Sandman are in this? They should just go ahead and cast Alfred Molina, Halle Berry and Stan Lee just for laughs.

Ummmm KaloVisor, John Carter is a story as old as Tarzan, and was written by ERB, So to say that it sounds like JC's stupid ass 10 year project is insulting.

I wasn't saying it was unoriginal. I was actually saying it soundend like JC was taking stuff from this. I know it's old, I never read anything from it myself so you don't need to attack me man(or err Girl??), it's just a stupid movie.(which might turn out being great, but still just a movie) lighten up. I meant no harm.
