"Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" has yet to appear in theaters, and according to an AICN source, 20th Century Fox has already been hard at work on a fourth installment in the franchise.

The new film, tentatively titled "Ice Age: Th4w," will step away from the prehistoric setting. It will see Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie and Scrat frozen solid and accidentally thawed in a museum during present day.

The first "Ice Age" movie earned $383 million in worldwide ticket sales, while the sequel brought in $652 million. It's no wonder that Fox would already be planning future installments.

That premise sounds incredibly sh*tty, hope it's not real.

They already had "The Meltdown," now the "Thaw?" This is an obvious cash-in on the "Night At The Museum" movies if it is at all real.

I am eager to watch Ice Age 3..it is releasing on 3rd July in India...i think they should keep the prehistoric theme intact in Ice Age 4 too.

the third one was great, but if they bring the series into the present, it is going to suck. they need to reunite the group with Buck and maybe bring back the t-rex babies.

I don't think it's real, but it would be nice to see Ellie's and Manny's baby have some kind of reunion with the human child from the first 'Ice Age.'
