Director James Cameron spoke to a sold-out audience in Santa Monica between showings of "Aliens" and "The Abyss" and answered a few questions, including what it was like to see a "Terminator" film that he didn't make.
While answering the question, Cameron inadvertently insulted McG. It started when the director was working on "Titanic" and was considering making a third "Terminator" film, but ultimately decided against it. When Arnold Schwarzenegger tried to convince him to change his mind, Cameron gave him a piece of advice.
He told Arnold to go ahead and make the third movie but to ask for the most money anyone has ever asked for before (reportedly $30 million). "They're not going to make a movie without you, that'd be stupid," said Cameron. Apparently, he didn't count on McG.
Listen to the entire response below (sorry for the sound quality).
The article is insulting McG. There is no need for a response from Cameron saying, "McG is a bullsh*t! He sucked with T4!"; he says "They're not going to make a movie without you, THAT'D BE STUPID", which means that 'anyone who tries to make a new Terminator film WITHOUT including Schwarzenegger is/would be STUPID'... basically he calls McG "stupid". :) (Smiley does not represent my reaction to the news, but to the comments)
First of all, Arnold was basically in the movie and two, he's not the key to Terminator. Sarah Connor Chronicles proved that. Plus, Cameron is saying he made this statement long before McG was even around which means he is not actually insulting the new director...which WP knows because they used the word "inadvertently." Read the whole thing, guys.

i like it when he says, 'even though i created the franchise initially'...those f*ckheads ran off with the rights....T3 would've been a lot better with cameron behind the story and screenplay and director's chair
James didn't insult mcg. mcg insulted himself and all of us with this garbage that for some reason($$$) was allowed to be made. The direction in this movie is amature at best. And who better to direct the new terminator than mcg, the director of such great classics as charlies angels and charlies angels 2. Oh and the offspring videos, we all love those. Cameron needs to save the series he started and do the next terminator. mcg should go back to the charlies angels series that he has done such an awesome job with.
and T3 would have suffered even if Cameron did it. The script was nothing more than a remake of T2 so loser fans could see an again Olympian in a leather jacket and sunglasses being chased around town on a motorcycle. T4 at least brought something new to the table...all T3 had was new tits coming through the portal instead of Robert Patrick.
Then why did we have to sit through Uwe Boll's BloodRayne to finally see said 'new tits'? She came out of the portal like a scene from Austin Powers...gotta love those strategically timed cover up objects...so LAME for an R movie.
Not to sound too nerdy, but T3 established John Connor's wife, it finally shows how the war starts (perfect ending!), and it gives you Connor's ultimate fate (revealing that he is killed by a Terminator during the war in the future). The new movie gives you nothing new. Furthermore, the only reason there's a female Term in T3 and in the tv show is that dorks like bitches kicking ass. Don't believe me , checkout the returns for those sh*tty Underworld movies.
